Alaula grumbled as she placed the two deer in the fresh kill pile. What a day it had been. She whimpered, turning her body to face the den of the medicine cat, Dreamweaver. She slowly started to approach, using caution and respectful movements.
"E.. excuse me Dreamweaver?" She said, somewhat out of breath and nervous. She had never been to ththe medicine cat den before. She blinked as she took another step forward. "I was hunting and.. and a deer kicked me. It hurts on my side, like he hit a rib. I also got bit.." she took a deep gulp, trying to contain her nerves. "I got bit by a wolf who tried to take the deer." Blood was still heavily dripping from the gash in her neck. "It would be ever so nice if you could help me."

Dreamweaver took one look up from sorting his herb piles to stare at the large canine, his face a blank slate. He blinked once, his mint green eyes closing slowly, and then proceeded to lay down on the sandy ground of the medicine cat den in a lop-sided heap. "Why," he said to no one in particular, "Why can't someone just come to my humble abode with a 'hey Dreamweaver! how was your day today?' or 'Hey Dream! I noticed you've been cooped up in your den for quite a while and wondered if you wanted some fresh kill and to share tongues?'" An unearthly groan escaped the healer's lips before he forced himself to rise to his paws. "But no, it's gonna be 'I got kicked by A DEER and then bit by A WOLF.' Please remind me never to go onto one of your hunting patrols." He gave the injured dog a quick look-over, flinching slightly at the neck wound. "Take a seat at one of the empty nests," the healer directed, "I gotta go collect the necessary herbs. RIP to my storage after this."

Laying her ears back, Alaula listened to the medicine cat talk. She sat in the spot that Dreamweaver had told her to take. "I am sorry to burden you. I greatly appreciate the healing, and I will gladly help you replenish your stocks if you think it would help. As far as a fresh kill goes.. there are two deer and a meaty rabbit that I caught today. There is plenty to go around."
She moved to where her neck was easily accessible for the medicine cat, and waited for whatever would happen. "Thank you.." she mumbled softly.

Seeing the nervousness and almost guilt in the dog's eyes, Dreamweaver dropped the critical attitude, opting to collect his herbs in silence. Quit being rude, dick-breath. The medicine cat thought to himself, scolding for the discomfort he caused the member of shadow clan as he carried the necessary supplies back to the injured canine and dropping them on a crisp oak leaf in front of them. "So from what I'm hearing, you have some rip pain and this neck injury? Is there anything else I should know about?" The healer asked in a serious and quite tone, his paws gently probing the neck wound with his small paws.

Wishingstar rushed into the medicine cats den, his fur brushing against his medicine cats in a silent greeting. "Will she be okay?" He meowed to Dreamweaver, anxiety in his tone. "That wolf was such an ass, i cant believe he crossed into our territory."

Dreamweaver ran his tail along his leader's spine in a calming gesture, his eyes not leaving his patient's neck. "From what I can see there's no internal bleeding, and the neck wound is long but shallow." Dream picks up the herbs and begins to chew them up, his nose scrunching at the taste. Once satisfied with the consistency of the paste, he places it on the stretched out cobwebs lying on the ground before him, spreading it evenly. He then wraps the cobweb around the dog's neck, careful not to jostle her too much. The healer remains quite during the process, his normal jips and comments kept to himself as his tail flicked back and forth slowly. After adding a re-enforcing layer of cobwebs, the healer steps back to admire his handiwork. He turns to his leader, "As for the ribs, all she can do is rest and avoid moving as much as possible. I don't want to wrap them as of now because I don't know if any organs have been injured. If any discoloration of her eyes occur or blood comes out of anywhere but her neck injury, like her nose or ears, then we'll have a serious problem." The medicine cat turned back to look at the canine with a promising look. "It does not seem as if she has any of these symptoms, nor does her side look swelled enough for any internal bleeding. I'm positive she'll make a full recovery."

The air he has been holding in came out in a relieved sigh. "Excellent news" he mewes, a smile on his face. "Well until your ribs are healed you are not to leave, or even the medicine cats den until you have Dreamweavers okay." He meowed.

Alaula nodded her head, a small tail wag showing her gratitude. "Thank you for helping to heal me. I feel quite a lot better now." She looked over to her leader as he spoke. "I highly doubt the wolf will come back, after the wound he was given."
With a large yawn, lula turned to the medicine cat. "When I get better, I will find you the best catch, whatever your favorite prey is."

Wishingstar nodded with approval towards his canine warrior, before touching his nose to his healers ear. "Thank you, and Alaula you did amazing today."
And with that, the blue tabby tom left the den.

Dreamweaver became uncharacteristically flustered at the praise given from the canine and his leader, looking down and shuffling his paws. He looked back up at the warrior, an unreadable look on his face as he hesitated to speak. "...my favorite is crow or raven." He said quickly as he turned and left through the den entrance, murmuring something about going to collect some yarrow stems.
